I’m tired of buses.
I need to buy a car!
Okay, I WANT to buy a car.
No, no, I want to buy a truck!
Well it has to have 4×4.
but maybe I will just get a smaller SUV.
Nope, I want a truck.
I don’t even have a driver’s license,
and I COULDN’T get one because my paperwork wasn’t processed…
I have been battling the decision of what vehicle to buy for MONTHS and I have several friends who have been very patiently helping me. Finally I decided to try to get my license even though I still don’t have a vehicle and was told I couldn’t until my paperwork was done…aghhh!
I went to the immigrations office to ask about my paperwork and was so excited to hear it was done! I had brought them a copy of the receipt instead of the actual receipt which was supposedly a problem. The lady was not being very direct with me which I took as a signal that I could talk her into giving it to me anyway. I misread her. She was hoping to get a bribe out of me which she called a “tip”. Well, that is not so uncommon here, but in the situation, I decided I would take the time to return with the real receipt which I hoped I could find. When I told her that she relented and gave me my visa on the pretense that I had “lost” the receipt. The honest truth is that I didn’t know where the receipt was, so I accepted! And I now have a permanent visa! There is one more step in the paperwork trail, but I am so very thankful to have reached this stage!!
Now, for the driver’s license, and then the car… I mean truck… I mean WHATEVER the Lord provides!!!
