One Hundred and Twenty Days.
100 and 20 days.
120 days.
Did you know that’s about how many days we have remaining in the States?!?!?
I don’t know about you, but that is CRAZY.
From here on out it seems like we will be home a week, gone a week, home a week, gone a week, or something like that! Because of this, I have a feeling that our time is going to fly.
Since it’s been a while since I’ve blogged I thought I ‘d take a few minutes to catch you up to speed!
We were thankful that for all of January and February we were able to be home. This allowed us to catch our breath a little, have some consistency for the kids and get ready for all the traveling that would begin starting in March. We also enjoyed spending time with our home church, Bedrock Community Church, catching up on much needed doctors and dentist visits, celebrating some birthdays, and sharing about Tanzania with friends in the area. Oh yeah, we also ordered our passports! Wahoo!
Our first trip of the new year was to Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee. We had such a great time reconnecting with current partners and friends and sharing about the ministry that God has led our family to in Tanzania. First stop: Knoxville!
Next we traveled west to the Nashville area. We stayed about 45 minutes outside of the city with former NTM missionaries. The kids had a wonderful time with the Hovies and we were able to learn a lot about the life of a missionary! We were thankful for many opportunities to share about what God is doing in Tanzania. We also had a fun day at the Nashville Zoo with Chad and Tabby!
After Tennessee we came home, had 4 doctors/dentist appointments and repacked our bags for North Carolina! So far we have reconnected with one of our partnering churches, Parkview Baptist Church, and Chandler had a great breakfast meeting with a local pastor. Today we are having lunch with another local pastor and his wife. Thankful for continued opportunities to share what God is doing in Tanzania. Oh, and because we are only 5 minutes from the beach, of course we had to enjoy that!
Thanks so much for taking a few minutes to follow our journey! We are so thankful for your prayers, your giving and your encouragement!
Together Making Him Known,
Jamie (for all the Sharpes)
