JOYS!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The joys outweighed the trials and we really did enjoy our time in the tribe.\u00a0 The first thing that you can&#8217;t help but notice about the place is the beauty of God&#8217;s creation.\u00a0 Towering mountains and deep valleys fill up the landscape around the area and I was constantly snapping pictures.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_461\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From the roof of our house.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The next great thing was Andrew and Cathy Goud.\u00a0 They are working in this tribe and have been for many blessing to us too.\u00a0 They brought us food from their gardens all the time.\u00a0 They helped us get firewood, watched our kids, and helped us practice Tok Pisin.\u00a0 They took us to their gardens, on hikes to waterfalls or up mountains, and held Maggie&#8217;s hand when the trail was slippery.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_463\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-463\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Maggie and friends.<\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<p>Our kids had a blast.\u00a0 They did well, behaved well, played well, hiked well, slept well, and even learned a little more pidgin.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\">\n<dl>\n<dt><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/chris-hostetter\/files\/2012\/03\/100_1618.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/dt>\n<dt>My kids making friends put a big smile on my face.<\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<p>Lastly, seeing God at work in the lives of the believers and the unbelievers was awesome.\u00a0 The Church was packed every Sunday and the little Sunday School room was bursting at the seams.\u00a0 The believers are growing and maturing and many are learning to become Bible teachers and Evangelists.\u00a0 Also, the unbelievers are taking notice of the changed lives of the believers and there are two different villages asking for teachers to come and teach them the word of God.\u00a0 Within the next year tribal believers will be going to these villages to share with them the most important message they will ever hear!<\/p>\n<div
