Hey everyone! Just an update on all the wonderful thing God is doing in my life and the plans I set for the next few years.
First, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas remembering what it is that we are celebrating this season, the birth of the gracious gift of God, our savior Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that this passing season brought great blessing to you and to your family. I also pray that this new year The Lord would keep your eyes focused on Him through the hard times as well as the easy ones.
Over the past few months The Lord has brought blessings beyond anything I could have ever imagined. For those of you who do not know yet, this past summer I served at camp Fairwood in Wisconsin as a camp counselor. Over my time there The Lord has thought me a lot about service in ministry, caring for others and He also gave me many opportunities to invest in the students’ lives. My time there was a blessed one. During my time there, I met a young lady who also was serving as a camp counselor and her name is Elizabeth. We served together as a team and grew interested toward one another. Her zeal to serve The Lord and her love for Him are so evident in her everyday life as she interact with those around her are just a few things that drew me toward her. In November of 2013, I packed up my car and drove from Texas to Wisconsin and arrived there on Thanksgiving day, November 28th 2013. I surprised her there and asked her to be my wife. That day I considered myself more blessed than ever since my salvation after she said yes to being my wife.
The wedding is set to take place June 7th 2014 in Rice Lake WI. In the mean time, I’m going to be living here in Wisconsin and work as much as I can to save money for our future plans. Then, we will both be working for the next two years and keep saving money in hopes to have all the money we need to go to the Missionary Training Center in Missouri.
Please pray that The Lord would give us wisdom as we make future plans and as we learn to love one another in a marital relationship the way The Lord has designed it to be. Also pray that our focus would still stay on Him and the mission He has set before us.
Thank you, Christian Tshimanga
