Learning Something New Everyday!

October 22, 2013 by Coleton and Shawna Williams

Ok everyone, I (Shawna) have taken a few minutes to put together a list of things that the Lord has taught/continues to teach me since arriving on Papua New Guinea soil. Enjoy…

– How to ride in a car on the other side of the road without freaking out

– How to make homemade bread in 5 minutes

– How to learn a language/culture

– That this job really is impossible if you try to do it alone

– How much I hate making tortillas from scratch

– How little I need to be happy

– How different everyday life is for the rest of the world

– How insecure I still am

– How hard/frustrating another culture can be

– How much I appreciate good chocolate

– That fast food was something I always took for granted

– That streaming things off of the Internet (Pandora, YouTube, Itunes) was a serious part of my life!

– How serious God is about reaching the world with His gospel

– How unfair it is that I was born in America and my best national friend was born here

– How to skin and cook fresh fish

– How much the Lord wants to be my everything

– That Satan really does hate me and what I am doing

– How little I know about the world

– How to flush a toilet with buttons instead of a handle

– How thankful I am for a good husband

– How much others effect my mood

– That we always need to use the restroom before we go anywhere!

– That we always need to bring water wherever we go

– How to be thankful when I don’t feel thankful

– How much I love season changes

– What humidity really is

– How much I need prayers and support from people back home

– How little I am in charge of

– How to cook with a plethora of new foods

– How beneficial my baby boy is in language learning

– That I am never going to be done learning

Em tasol (That is all)
