TWIGG FAMILY UPDATES
We want to first of all thank you for all your prayers and financial support. You have been such a blessing to us. Well since we have wrote last a lot of things have happened, some of you may have been following us on our facebook page. Some of the things that happened were very stressful but necessary for our growth and preparing us for the future, but we feel so blessed by our Lord for all that He has done for us.
May brought many ups and downs. Our family celebrated two birthdays, Colton’s and Malachi’s. Malachi turned five on the 13th and got to have a party with family and friends.
He was really excited when Grandma brought out the Spiderman cake. We are just shocked at how fast time flies, it just seems like yesterday that we were coming home from the hospital with him. About the middle of the month the transmission on our Ford Expedition died. We took it to the shop and they told us that we needed a new transmission. This is something that Tanja and I both knew we could not afford. We were trying to think about our options because we could not afford a new vehicle. So prayed about it and decided to find a used transmission and put it ourselves. So we went and picked up the transmission but were disappointed when we found out that it was the wrong transmission. We called the place where we got it from and they found us another
one. We are now happy to report that with the help of my Dad and Brother in law that Old Bessie is running good. Altogether our vehicle was down for six weeks and we are so thankful that it is working now and we are praising the Lord for providing everything that we needed including the finances.
June brought about visiting churches so we could introduce ourselves to local pastors and sending out our informational packet out to churches. We also got to spend an afternoon with our great friend Rita; the boys call her Grandma Rita. We are so thankful for her love and friendship. During this month we spent quite a bit of time getting ready for our ten day trip to Paraguay.
July kicked off with the Twigg Family Reunion. It was so nice to see family that we don’t normally see. Not all of my Grandparents grandkids were there but there were still quite a few of us. There was family there from all parts of the United States. We also had the privilege to share at West Warren Congregational Church and had a great time worshiping with others we don’t normally worship with. On the 6th, Tanja and I headed up to Syracuse New York to start our flight to Asuncion, Paraguay. We spent about eight days down there and loved every minute of it. We got to meet with some of the field committee
and also got to sit in on a session with the missionaries studying Spanish. We knew most of them from the Training so it was nice to see them and ask them questions like about what things we should bring. We also got to do some shopping and try different foods. Trying different foods was harder for me, Tanja loves trying new foods. My favorite was the
Chicken Milanesa Sandwich. One of the favorite parts of our trip was going to Spanish Church when we were in Filidelfia. It was so moving worshiping with the
Paraguayans, even though we could not fully understand everything. For the rest of the month we will be doing some traveling to Indianapolis and then on to Roach, Missouri and then back to Pennsylvania.
PRAYER AND PRAISES
– Pray for safety as we travel the rest of this summer. We will be traveling to Indiana, Missouri, and Michigan.
– Pray for our speaking engagements this summer. Pray that the Lord would speak through us and that people’s hearts will open to missions.
– Pray as we continue to send out letters and packet to churches that the Lord would use them to open the doors for us to come and share.
– Pray for Tanja as she prepares to teach Malachi, he will be starting Kindergarten this coming fall.
– Pray for us as we try to work out when to leave for Paraguay and for the extra need expenses that are needed to move there.
– Praise the Lord that we have most of Malachi’s school materials, thanks to a great couple from our home church.
– Praise the Lord that we had safety on our trip to and from Paraguay.
– Praise the Lord for all the ways our Lord provides for us.
