Dear Faithful Prayer Partners,
Wow what a year we had in 2011. We are so thankful that you all could be a part of it. We are so thankful for you all who praying for us and financially supporting our ministry. We are so thankful for another year to serve the Lord and look forward to what He is going to do in our lives. We truly hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you took time to focus on Christ, as He is the reason we celebrate Christmas. We pray that this New Year will be a great journey with the Lord for you all
In our last letter we shared that we were at 46%, this was according to our voucher, but when we sat down and did the real math we found that we are at 33%. Please pray, as we need to be at 70% to leave in May, so that means that we need to raise 37% more to reach our goal. We so grateful from where the Lord has brought us from 2 years ago, what an adventure it has been and we would not trade it for anything else. All of our Sundays for this month were filled and we enjoy every opportunity the Lord gives us and are so thankful for the Lord helping us set up those appointments. We are so blessed to be able to share our ministry with others. We are looking forward to these next few months as we are preparing to leave.
In Matthew 9:37 and 38, Jesus is telling His disciples “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” We as a family have chosen to follow the Lord and labor for Him. The harvest in Paraguay still needs to be brought in. The Lord wants us to share the Gospel with them. We are excited to see how the Lord will use us in Paraguay when we get there and have learned the language. We would like you to also be laborers with us. Bringing in the harvest takes many hands and we would like you to be part of our team. We are looking for people who want to be part of something bigger than them-selves? Why not partner with us to Expand the Reach of the Gospel in Paraguay. We are looking for Missions Minded Christians who are willing to faithfully partner with us, not only in Prayer, but Financial Giving. Would you prayerfully consider how the Lord may want you to be involved in helping us in our ministry?
Manjui Believers Growing through God’s Word
All the pieces are coming into place for the Manjui church to stand and grow. The Manjui New Testament is nearing completion. Colossians and 1, 2 and 3 John were printed and made available to believers and Bible teachers in October. With that step, 24 of the New Testament’s 27 books were printed. Last month, 2 Corinthians was checked for comprehension, to see how well the translation was understood by Manjui people. “This now leaves only a couple of checks to go for this difficult book,” wrote Gordie and Nancy Hunt, who work among the Manjui people. The only books left to translate are Hebrews and Revelation. Three of the Manjui Bible teachers were recognized as pastors and leaders last May, and these men have been teaching through Romans and Ephesians. “The Manjui church is definitely growing spiritually as the pastors have been teaching,” the Hunts wrote. “We are asking you to praise God for what He is doing among these people.” – Ian Fallis
We are so excited to become part of the team in Paraguay and work alongside these faithful men and women who are sharing the Gospel with the Paraguayans. It is so neat to see stories like these, to see the hunger they have for God’s word. Knowing that we will be part of that is something special. Seeing lives changed like this makes it all worth it to serve our Lord.
We want to thank you so much for PRAYING for us. We are so encouraged; knowing that you are behind us and bringing us before the Lord. Just like we mentioned earlier, we would love to have you PARTNER with us financially and prayerfully. If you are interested in knowing more about us and our future ministry in Paraguay, feel free to contact us. We would love to talk with you more and would also like to know how we can be praying for you.
Serving the KING together,
Colton, Tanja, Malachi, Noah, Gideon, and Jehiah Twigg
