Dear Faithful Prayer Partners,
We are enjoying the spring weather here in Paraguay. The temps here continue to rise and we always enjoy a break from it when it rains. This month we have enjoyed many things and we can’t wait for you to read about them. We are so grateful at how the Lord is preparing us to serve here and we are so thankful that you can be part of it. Thank you for praying and for giving sacrificially of your finances. We pray the Lord’s richest blessings on you for your faithfulness.
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
We are praising the Lord for our support staying pretty steady. We are continuing to pray for the Lord to provide 3
new financial partners and we look forward to seeing how the Lord will provide. This month our church, Iglesia Bautista Getsemani, celebrated their 30th anniversary and we had the honor of celebrating with them. Colton sang “The Power of the Cross” in Spanish and then we sang “O Church, Arise” in English. Colton was also able to read
some thoughts in Spanish. It was an encouraging time for us sharing with our church family here in Paraguay. We praise the Lord for bringing us and our church family together. He knew we needed these exact people in our lives to encourage us, help us grow in the language, and to build relationships with. Please continue for us as we learn the culture and language.

A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF MALACHI
I wake up at 6:00 am Monday through Friday and head to school at 6:45 am. I’m done with school every day at 11:30 which makes me very happy because I have more time to play. I’ve learned to read and write in Spanish. I can speak Spanish which helps me communicate with my new friends. I love the many varieties of fruit here. My favorite foods here are empanadas and chicken milanesa. I love playing soccer (fútbol) with my friends after church.
This month Tanja had the opportunity to go with Gideon on his first field trip with the school. The classes of Prescolar and Jardin both went to Parque Ñu Guazu and plant trees. Trees are very important to the people of Paraguay, so much so that they do not cut them down to build roads. They just simply build around them. Each one of Gideon’s classmate also got to plant a tree and they had their names put on a sign
by the tree.
This month Malachi and Noah had the opportunity to share with us what they had been learning at school. They called it Expo and it was an opportunity to grades 1-9 to show their parents what they have been doing in school. First the whole school met together and sang the National Anthem and then Malachi and Noah shared with us what they had been doing in their books and other classes. Malachi had a final science project that he did on the desert ecosystem, which he and his class mates showed off in their classroom. We praise the Lord for how well the boys are doing in school in a different culture. Please continue to pray for them as they finish the year.
This month Tanja celebrated her birthday. We had a small group of friends come and celebrate with us. We all had a great time of food and fellowship. Birthdays are very special here in Paraguay, it is a time to celebrate your life with those who are special to you. We praise the Lord for another year to serve Him.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our updates. We praise the Lord for you all.
