Its the Heart not the Shirt

This is the basic premise we are learning as we study together around the ping-pong table. The two classes I am involved in are hitting this concept hard. In Spiritual Growth class we spent several weeks learning that everything outside of our relationship with God is vanity. We are now learning about a life of faith and how the hard times that God allows or brings our way are used of Him to cause us to rely on him (2 Corinthians 1:8-11).
In our church planting class we are looking at what it means to be a servant of the church. A servant has the right to follow his master. We are learning to follow where Jesus leads rather than going our own way.
