What does ministry this spring look like? Well, like for so many of you, we have had to change things up here at the MTC. Our classes have gone completely online for the rest of the semester. Our academic management team did an awesome job of rearranging some of this semester’s classes with next semester’s classes. Our IT department put their hand to the plow and made sure the campus was ready. Our safety management team and our leadership team worked well with all involved to work through a plan to continue safely equipping the next generation of missionaries.
The students were given the option to move back home and finish the semester out if they wanted to. Four of the six couples that Cheryl and I mentor did move back home. Even though this happened, we have been able to continue our mentoring relationships, though somewhat modified. We appreciate how our staff and students have worked together to continue to give and get the most out of the missionary training here in Missouri.
Because of how things have changed, not just here, but around the world, I, Craig had a great opportunity. One of our former students and co-workers asked if I would preach for their Wednesday evening service overseas. That’s Wednesday morning here. I was able to post my message to YouTube, join them for the early part of the service, and then go to my morning meeting while they watched the message. This most likely would not have happened without all the changes that have been happening around the world. Even in the midst of upheaval, God is in control, and His Word will go out.
