{"id":325,"date":"2011-08-11T20:25:58","date_gmt":"2011-08-12T03:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/crystal-pierce\/?p=325"},"modified":"2011-08-11T20:25:58","modified_gmt":"2011-08-12T03:25:58","slug":"june-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/crystal-pierce\/2011\/08\/11\/june-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"June.2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding: 0px;margin: 0px\" src=\"https:\/\/us1.admin.mailchimp.com\/_ssl\/proxy.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgallery.mailchimp.com%2F9169e895ebca76927fdac9f86%2Fimages%2Fcc.banner.june.2011.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\" 600px\" height=\"257\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 5px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif\">Wow!\u00a0 I can hardly believe that I&#8217;ve spent 5 weeks down here!!!\u00a0 It has been awesome.\u00a0 My first week was spent helping get things ready for the Bible School Graduation.\u00a0 Six students graduated from the Bible School &amp; all 6 of them, plus two graduates from last year, are heading to the Training Center in Chihuahua!\u00a0 That is so awesome.<\/p>\n<p>Our next few weeks were spent visiting Joca&#8217;s family, visiting a family in the hospital, attending church &amp; prayer meeting, helping out with the Kids&#8217; Club on Saturdays, and also getting ready for the Summer Outreach Program.\u00a0 I also spent a weekend sick in bed with food poisoning.\u00a0 Not a cool weekend.\u00a0 But I did go to the doctor to get some antibiotics for my body &#8211; it was only $2.50 for a doctor&#8217;s visit!\u00a0 I thought that was pretty incredible.\u00a0 I&#8217;m also able to go with Jocabed to the classes that she teaches.\u00a0 She teaches keyboard &amp; Bible to one of the young girls in the church.\u00a0 And then a 2 hour Bible class three times\u00a0 a week to a family.\u00a0 It has been an encouraging time to spend with Jocabed &amp; these people that we are working with.\u00a0 And it has been great for my Spanish too.\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;m just lacking some good Spanish classes, but I&#8217;ll get that when I get back to Chihuahua.<\/p>\n<p>I just finished my third week of teaching English.\u00a0 I have had almost 20 students, even though they all can&#8217;t come every day consistently.\u00a0 But it has been an encouraging time for the amount of Spanish I&#8217;ve learned.\u00a0 After the hour of English, or the other classes offered &#8211; drums, keyboard, singing, carpentry, &amp; crafts, it is required that they attend one hour of the Bible.\u00a0 And there are about 7 people teaching the different age levels through the Firm Foundations Bible Study.\u00a0 It is has been amazing to see the people responding so well to the classes &amp; the Bible classes.<\/p>\n<p>I only have three more weeks left here.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t hardly believe that my time has gone by so quickly.\u00a0 Some days I&#8217;m ready to be back home (in Chihuahua), and then when I spend time with my friends here, I don\u2019t want to leave!\u00a0\u00a0 And it&#8217;ll be so hard to leave Joca&#8217;s family &amp; the Bible School.\u00a0 But if God is wanting me to return to this place, God will allow me to return in His timing.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m heading back to Chihuahua July 24th, and that week we will have a get together for all the NTM missionaries in Mexico.\u00a0 I&#8217;m looking forward to this time with my friends for refreshment &amp; encouragement!\u00a0 Then I will get back into my Spanish studies!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 5px\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, geneva, sans-serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us1.admin.mailchimp.com\/_ssl\/proxy.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgallery.mailchimp.com%2F9169e895ebca76927fdac9f86%2Fimages%2FJune_2011_58.JPG\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"251\" height=\"188\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/us1.admin.mailchimp.com\/_ssl\/proxy.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgallery.mailchimp.com%2F9169e895ebca76927fdac9f86%2Fimages%2FJune_2011_127.JPG\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><br \/>\nWorking on my cooking skills for the family!
