In the midst of the trials (see previous post), Dan was “promoted” at Moody Aviation! Last fall, he filled in as the supervisor for the private pilot semester. He was overwhelmed at first and there was a huge learning curve, but he had a great group of instructors under him. He was asked again to be a supervisor for this current spring semester for the 5th year students getting their instrument rating and commercial certificate. This is the most challenging semester for the flight students…and their last one as well. Dan has his plate very full, but he is enjoying it and has another great group of instructors! He is putting in 11 hour days and trying hard not to bring work home with him. Pray for periods of rest and rejuvenation for him.
Dan has had a few opportunities to represent Ethnos360 Aviation at mission conferences. He attended 2 in the fall and was just at another one in Portland, OR in January. He also did a trip in February to our headquarters in Arizona to help out at an open house that Ethnos360 Aviation was putting on for the surrounding communities. There was helicopter rides, Kodiak rides, and a tribal village!
The kids are doing well. They have been so awesome through all the hard stuff. The older kids really stepped up to the plate and started doing more around the house to help…without being asked! We are still homeschooling and that is one area where we have really seen God’s faithfulness. To look back over the year and see all that we have accomplished is a testimony to the goodness of God. “My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness” (2 Cor. 12:9). Anna and Ben are now in 4th grade, Faith is in 1st grade, and Lily is doing preschool/coloring. 🙂
