Wasn’t it just Thanksgiving yesterday? We pray you have a joyous season celebrating the birth of the Savior!

We, as a family, have been staying busy these past few months. Lily is almost 3 months old now! She is a sweet baby- full of smiles! She is starting to “talk” now and is sleeping through the night (a huge blessing to her parents!). Anna, Ben, and Faith love holding her and interacting with her and she loves all the attention! It has definitely been an adjustment having 4 kids. I’m sure it will get easier as Lily gets older but right now it seems that most days end with me still in my PJ’s! School with the twins has not been as consistent as I would like but I keep having to remind myself that this is a season and it will get easier.

As you remember, Dan has not officially been teaching at Moody this semester. We thought we would be heading back to Bolivia and he had already “resigned” from his ministry position at Moody Aviation when we found out that our flight program in Bolivia was closing. We weren’t sure what the Lord was doing, but He has provided much work for Dan to do the past few months. Moody asked Dan to take on a student who was not enrolled in the flight program but wanted to learn how to fly. Dan’s student is actually a Bible professor at Moody Bible Institute in Spokane and is in his 60’s! He’s had a desire to learn to fly for a long time and had asked Moody Av if there was anyone who could teach him. Dan was so thankful to be able to get back up in the plane again! Besides taking on a student, Dan has also worked on some special projects for Moody. In November, Dan was able to represent New Tribes Mission Aviation at MBI-Spokane’s Missions Conference. It’s always an honor to be able to represent our mission and share with students about what God is doing around the world in NTM. Speaking of NTM, would you remember our co-workers in the Philippines? They have been working very hard in the relief effort after the typhoon hit. Our pilots are flying our helicopters and planes to more remote islands that are not receiving the aid that some of the larger areas are. Please pray for their safety and stamina as they minister to those who have lost everything. If you would like to know more about how NTMA is helping or are interested in giving to help cover fuel expenses please click on this link….. http://usa.ntm.org/mission-news/72277/relief-efforts-going-strong .

Dan will be full time at Moody again starting in January. He is really excited to get going again and to get to know his 3 students. We had some meetings this fall with our NTMA leadership and it was decided that we would be staying put in Spokane for another 4 years working at Moody and representing NTMA. NTMA did a recent study and determined that a majority of its pilots and mechanics are trained at Moody Aviation. With that in mind, NTMA is realizing that they need continued representation at Moody. We are excited to be a part of the training and to encourage students into missions (hopefully with NTMA!).

Have a blessed Christmas season!

We want to wish you a Merry Christmas!
