I much prefer rain to snow and ice. The rain reminds me of spring coming and NEW LIFE being given. Thanks for your partnership in prayer this past month. Our work together in the Lord’s field is precious and close to our hearts. It’s a special blessing to serve Him together.

Doug and Nancy left this week heading back to a full schedule in Asia-Pacific. Please pray for their travel this week and next. Also, Greg’s team is gearing up to receive new families and singles just arriving in Asia-Pacific. We are excited to see the Lord raising up laborers to help in the harvest field. Pray for these new families as they leave families behind and adjust to a new life, learning a new language and culture.

The Dondok family (son Kendrick, pictured right just turned 1 this week) appreciated your prayers this month as they finished up their practical training time in the Tugutil tribe. (They are a tribal family from one of our Global Partners churches going through training to be missionaries.) Enna, the wife is from a village very close to the village where we lived for many years, and I help disciple and encourage her. They are now back at the missionary training campus to finish up their semester and graduate. They will stay on at the training center for a year of internship to help better prepare them for a field of service in the future. Here is a testimony from Enna during their practice training time in the Tugutil tribe this month:

“The ladies had opportunity to praise the Lord through song in the worship service. When we went forward for this, a young man who has been crippled all his life came to the front of the church with us, scooting himself forward and dragging his feet behind him. He was so full of joy to be able to praise the Lord, it brought me to tears. Even though he cannot speak very clearly and is crippled, he was the most enthusiastic one among us. My heart was challenged because unlike him, I was born normal but often don’t praise the Lord when I should.”

This month we were able to get more materials printed and sent to the Taman and Embaloh churches. The Chronological lessons (left) is for the Taman church teaching team. We also sent the rest of the Hebrews lessons (7-14) to the Embaloh church teachers for checking. The rest of our printing (right) was 4 new Embaloh literacy books for checking (white) and 2 (yellow and blue) that are finished and will be passed around for reading. The titles of the 2 that are finished are Akan’s Sin and The Sun Stands Still. The 4 that were sent in to be checked are medical books. Flies Are Our Enemy, Peter Gets Malaria and a couple of other titles as well.

You may wonder what the reason is for the literacy push in the Embaloh tribe. Why are we producing all this reading material? The countdown to reprinting their Bible is getting very close.
