Plane goes down in Sanford

July 11, 2007 by

You may have heard on the news of the tragic crash here in Sanford yesterday. Several have called or e-mailed to check on us. Thanks for your concerns.

The crash was about 3 ½ miles from our home on Naomi Lane. Although we live very near the airport, the plane didn’t make it this far.

If you click on this map, you can see where the crash was in relationship to the Mission and in relationship to where we live.

Sadly, a total of five people died – the two in the plane, plus one adult and two children (separate families) who were in their homes. Three others (a mom, dad, and 10-year old son) are in critical condition.  The boy has 3rd degree burns over 90% of his body.

  • Pray for the families of those killed and injured in the crash.
  • Pray that the one NTM family who lives near the actual crash site will have opportunity to share God’s love to those in their community who are so traumatized by this event.
