Joy’s a happy girl

July 17, 2007 by

Joy went to the bowling alley today to watch Nathan and her nephews take on Joy’s companion.  Pat won!  But all enjoyed the outing – and especially Joy.

Joy continues to gain after her decline at the hospital in March.  She is able to sit up for about 1 1/2 hours, and probably could do longer, except she still has to recline for her tube feedings.

There are other signs of improvement.  For example, her weight is up about another pound, to a grand total of 43. The skin ulcer at her stoma site seems to be healing. And her alertness level is at an all-time high.

So thanks for praying for her.  And please don’t stop praying!  Another setback, such as the one in March, would be probably more than her little body could take.

  • Praise the Lord for the gains Joy has made since the end of March.
  • Pray that Joy’s skin ulcer heals completely.
  • Pray that we will make wise decisions on her behalf.
