Jan Harris is writing curriculum based on NTM’s chronological teaching program, designed for 6th graders. I have loved working on this project with Jan and watching this curriculum develop.
The plan was for Jan to field test the lessons at Lake Monroe Christian Academy this coming school year.
We still desire to do that, but there is a problem. Jan told me today that she can only teach if the administration can find a room for the class that is not in the regular school building.
That may seem like a strange requirement, but it’s not really. Jan’s daughter, Joanna, has severe sensitivity; and when her mom came home after a meeting at the school recently, Joanna’s body reacted to something her mom had picked up at the school building. She has had reactions to the school previously, but this time, she had a severe reaction when she wasn’t even there.
- Pray that we will be able to field test this material, so that we can make adjustments before publication.
- Pray that if God wants Jan to teach the class, they’ll be able to find a room in a different building for that class time.
- Pray for Joanna’s health to improve and for doctors who can pinpoint her problems.
