I enjoy drawing, so it’s a treat when, every so often, I am asked to draw a scene for the Christian School Curriculum.
This curricum is based on the Chronological materials that NTM uses throughout the world in teaching for evangelism. My co-worker, Jan, is developing the lessons. I work with her on it, making sure that the material stays true to the chronological focus, and making suggestions for activities or homework.
The curriculum is for 5th and 6th grade, so it has a lot of visual interest. Bill, an excellent cartoonist, is doing most of the graphics. But for some of the more basic things, like a picture of Bible-type houses along a wall, I get the chance to draw.
Combining something that is so much fun with something that has such a wonderful purpose – what could be better!
