Warm fall colors and fellowship

Dave and Ruth returned home Monday night from a quick trip to Michigan.  It’s been years since we have seen Fall colors. So refreshing to us.

But the highlight of our trip was reconnecting with friends and supporters.  We spoke at Baroda Bible Church in Southern Michigan. That was like old-home week for Dave.  His dad had pastored there, starting when Dave went into 12th grade.  We also spoke at the church in Lansing that commissioned Dave and Lois into missions 35 years ago.  It was Inter-City Bible Church then, and is Faith Bible Church now.  What a delightful time. 

• Jim and Cindy – Being able to use your car and not rent one was such a financial savings. 
• Pastor and Maude – Your hospitality was lovely.  And we munched on those Michigan apples all the way to Florida.
• Baroda Bible – Thank you for loving us and supporting us in our ministry.
• Pastor and Elaine – Your new guest room is wonderful, a real retreat.
• Jerry – We enjoyed relaxing at your home, relaxing so much that Ruth felt free to fall asleep while watching the football game, thus helping Michigan State remain undefeated. (Inside joke – they were behind until Ruth fell asleep and then they rallied.)
• Faith Bible – Your welcome and interest encouraged us. You have been such faithful supporters.
• And to everyone, those I’ve mentioned here and those I haven’t – Your fellowship was warm, as warm as the color of the beautiful leaves.  Thank you.
