NTM and Friends Youth Group held their weekly meeting at our house last night. So Dave and I had the joy of seeing Nathan actually leading the group for the first time.
He’s participated in the worship team off and on for two years, and consistently since 2011 began.
But leading the group is a new aspect. He led in the game time, in prayer, in the song time, in the testimony time, in organizing where everyone would go when breaking into prayer groups. His mentor, David (on Nathan’s right) jumped in to help when the kids weren’t listening to Nathan. Cool opportunity for Nathan, and exciting for us to observe.
Most of the current Youth Group teen leaders will be going to Bible school or college in the Fall. So to help with the transition, they are training others like Nathan to take over when they are gone.
Pray for Nathan as he assumes more of a leadership role in this Youth Group.
Oh, by the way, the kids don’t ordinarily wear suits. But David was teaching last night, and he wanted to have a suit on to make a point in his lesson. So they decided to both dress in suits for the worship time.
