{"id":133,"date":"2009-03-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-17T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2010-02-25T22:43:47","modified_gmt":"2010-02-26T02:43:47","slug":"catchin-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dave-brendle\/2009\/03\/17\/catchin-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Catchin&#8217; up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartImportPhoto-->James 4 talks about how life is a vapor.\u00a0 How true that has been these past couple months.\u00a0 It&#8217;s like the days disappeared in a heartbeat.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"redText\">Tom and Danielle were here.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tom and Danielle and four boys arrived on January 21st.\u00a0 They lived with us for 7 weeks before going to Maine to be with Danielle&#8217;s parents.\u00a0They are dealing with a lot &#8211; health issues, setting up meetings with supporting churches, changing ministry from being\u00a0bush missionaries to being on USA\u00a0staff.\u00a0 We were glad to provide the family support they have needed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please pray for God&#8217;s direction for them concerning what ministry they should be involved in and where they should live.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"redText\">Ben and Gina visited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ben had a forced time-off for about 6 weeks in January and February.\u00a0 So he\u00a0and Gina and 18-month old, Atalie, came for\u00a011 days. \u00a0They stayed with John and Lisa, just down the road, but were with us when schedules permitted.\u00a0\u00a0It was really cool to have all our boys here &#8211; John, Tom, Ben, and Nathan &#8211; with their families.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pray as Ben and Gina are expecting a baby.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"redText\">Colds and asthma hit hard.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>All of us except for Joy have been sick sometime in February and March &#8211; mostly\u00a0respiratory infections.\u00a0 Some were viral and some caused by the oak and pine pollen.\u00a0 The doctor put Nathan\u00a0on asthma medicine.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pray that we will all be strong\u00a0physically.<\/li>\n<li>Praise the Lord that Joy did not get sick.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"redText\">Deadlines have been reached.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ruth finished the layout work on <em>Firm Foundations: Creation to Christ.<\/em>\u00a0 That&#8217;s SIX books!\u00a0 Lots of work.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pray that the next steps in preparing FFCC for publication will go smoothly so that we can\u00a0meet the May 29th availability date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"redText\">Evaluations has been accomplished.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dave evaluated\u00a0netbooks &#8211; those\u00a0small, lightweight, limited function computers recently on the market.\u00a0\u00a0Now he knows how to\u00a0respond to missionaries&#8217; questions\u00a0and give them guidelines about netbooks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pray as Dave\u00a0has begun to evaluate\u00a0solid state hard drives.
