\"\"<\/a>Nathan spent Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday Day painting stripes on his car, with the excellent assistance of his nephews.\u00a0 It looks classy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then last evening, Sunday, the 25th<\/sup>, as he was driving to go see Christmas lights with his girlfriend and her family, he heard and felt a CLUNK. \u00a0The transmission died.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Please pray\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. That the truth that God is in control will be reinforced in our lives, especially for Nathan.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. For wisdom in repairing the car.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. For finances to cover the repair.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The juxtaposition of the two events \u2013 the enhancements to the outside of the car along with the death of the transmission \u2013 brought to mind the Scripture: \u201cMan looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.\u201d (1 Samuel 16:7). \u00a0I think those blue stripes will always remind me to look deeper than the surface \u2013 in my own life and in others\u2019 lives as well.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
