{"id":27,"date":"2007-03-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2007-03-27T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2007-03-27T16:51:18","modified_gmt":"2007-03-27T20:51:18","slug":"tube-feeding-with-a-pump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dave-brendle\/2007\/03\/27\/tube-feeding-with-a-pump\/","title":{"rendered":"Tube feeding with a pump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartImportPhoto--><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dave-brendle\/files\/2007\/03\/297_11919.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-104\" style=\"margin-right: 10px;margin-bottom: 5px\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/dave-brendle\/files\/2007\/03\/297_11919.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><!--EndImportPhoto--><\/p>\n<p>We finally&nbsp;know why Joy&#8217;s g-tube has been leaking so badly for so long.&nbsp; Her stomach capacity is down to 30 ccs.&nbsp;&nbsp;When we fed her by gravity, we were feeding her at least 60ccs at a time &#8211; way too much.<\/p>\n<p>So Joy is going to be &quot;on a pump.&quot;&nbsp; The pump will dispense the Osmolite at a rate of 30 ccs per hour over a 24-hour period.&nbsp;&nbsp; The doctor said that she may be able to handle 40 ccs if&nbsp;her stomach expands again.
