I met on May 31st with co-workers and key men in NTM’s Communications Department to lay out the next steps for publishing Bible curriculum for Christian Schools.<\/p>\n

Jan Harris is writing this curriculum. She is an NTM missionary who has taught many years in MK schools.  She has also helped design Bible curriculum for Christian high schools.  She had a vision for adapting NTM’s chronological teaching program, "Building on Firm Foundations,"<\/em> for 6th graders. <\/p>\n

This is an exciting project – a completely new application for chronological teaching.<\/p>\n

I have been working with Jan off and on over the past year. My primary task is making sure the material retains the correct chronological focus. <\/p>\n

But Jan has also invited me to offer input in the curriculum itself — ideas for activities, homework, and curriculum connections.  More than once, I’ve asked, "Nathan, what do you think about…..?" It sure helps to have had a 6th grader handy when thinking about how to communicate with 6th graders.<\/p>\n

Field testing is scheduled for this Fall, and there’s a lot to be done.<\/p>\n
