So refreshing to us.<\/p>\n<p>But the highlight of our trip was reconnecting with friends and supporters.<!--more-->\u00a0 We spoke at Baroda Bible Church in Southern Michigan. That was like old-home week for Dave.\u00a0 His dad had pastored there, starting when Dave went into 12th grade.\u00a0 We also spoke at\u00a0the church in Lansing that commissioned\u00a0Dave and Lois into missions 35 years ago.\u00a0 It was Inter-City Bible Church then, and is Faith Bible Church now.\u00a0 What a delightful time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jim and Cindy\u00a0&#8211; Being able to use your car and not rent one was such a financial savings.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Pastor and Maude &#8211;\u00a0Your hospitality was\u00a0lovely.\u00a0 And we munched on those Michigan apples all the way to Florida.<\/li>\n<li>Baroda Bible &#8211; Thank you for loving us and supporting us in our ministry.<\/li>\n<li>Pastor and Elaine &#8211;\u00a0Your new guest room is wonderful, a real retreat.<\/li>\n<li>Jerry &#8211;\u00a0We enjoyed relaxing at your home, relaxing so much that Ruth\u00a0felt free to fall asleep while watching the football game, thus helping Michigan State remain undefeated. (Inside joke &#8211; they were behind until Ruth fell asleep and then they rallied.)<\/li>\n<li>Faith\u00a0Bible\u00a0&#8211; Your welcome and interest encouraged us. You have been such faithful supporters.<\/li>\n<li>And\u00a0to everyone, those I&#8217;ve mentioned here and those I haven&#8217;t &#8211;\u00a0Your fellowship was warm, as warm as the color of the beautiful leaves.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dave and Ruth returned home Monday night from a quick trip to Michigan.\u00a0 It&#8217;s been years since we have seen Fall colors.
