We recently toured a historic site in eastern Washington. It is called the B Reactor which is sitting alone in a near desert like region. The building itself is somewhat non-descript from the outside but in the interior one begins to understand what this structure is all about and the monumental work that was accomplished in an incredibly short period of time. The Manhattan Project ushered in the atomic age, for better or for worse.
Thinking about projects, the Church is involved in a divine project, which is called the Great Commission. The results coming from this work are always good as precious souls are being ushered into the Kingdom of God. In our June update I wrote about how the Inapang believers were reaching across language borders to the neighboring Tangguat people. The new Tangguat believers said to the Inapang missionaries, “We just want to thank you for how you have lived among us.——-. Your lives have stood up to what you have been teaching us and we want to give you a big thank you for this!” As a result of the Inapang outreach many Tangguat have come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for your prayers!
I consider my ministry with New Tribes Mission as a privilege. What a blessing to communicate with folks in the USA, who are interested in service with New Tribes Mission. It is extremely satisfying to see some of them proceed through the entire application process and be approved for associate membership. One young NTM Associate member that I worked with this last year is now teaching Missionary Kids at an International Christian School in the Philippines. The school’s Director of Human Resources wrote me last month saying, “We are enjoying SM. Another parent dropped by my office to say how much her son is enjoying-and benefitting from her class. She was delighted.” Through SM’s teaching ministry she is helping many parents to remain serving the Lord in their ministry locations.
It has been wonderful to be on this side of the country and see some of our family more frequently. This summer we have been able to visit with the grandkids in eastern Washington and that has been a real treat. In August we attended the Franklin-Benton County rodeo with our dear granddaughters! A lot of fun!
We would ask that you please pray for us. Diann is caring for her mom and I continue on in ministry with the NTM Connection Center. As always we are deeply grateful for your partnership with us in this divine project of reaching the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
