The Lord continues opening doors of opportunity for us to mentor young people with a\u00a0heart for missions and we\u2019re glad He is!\u00a0 In recent weeks we\u2019ve made contact with\u00a0several new individuals and a few couples desiring to serve the Lord cross-culturally. \u00a0They come to us with lots of questions\u00a0 –questions about God\u2019s will\u2026 about obedience\u00a0and faith, and what it\u2019s like to answer the call to be disciple makers to the nations.<\/p>\n
Serving the Lord among unreached people living in hard-to-reach places brings many\u00a0challenges.\u00a0 There\u2019s the sound of unfamiliar languages, strange customs & practices, and\u00a0the spiritual darkness that holds such ones in bondage to fear.\u00a0 How do you embrace planting churches in such locations when there are so\u00a0many obstacles in the way?\u00a0 Answering these questions and many more is just a small part of the puzzle for these would-be missionary\u00a0candidates who come to us for direction.<\/p>\n
Long before we address any of these questions we spend time getting acquainted with each individual\u2019s spiritual wellbeing.\u00a0 \u2013Have they\u00a0embraced the gospel; are they in a growing relationship with Christ; do they evidence the fruit of the Spirit; are they committed to God\u2019s will\u00a0for their life, and many such other questions.\u00a0 Spiritual preparedness is a key issue, as well as areas related to their personal and family life;\u00a0inter-personal relationships and more.\u00a0 We need your prayers as we guide such ones through God\u2019s Word in the exploration of finding just\u00a0where God wants them to be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
