As we draw near to the close of another year we are thankful for each opportunity that we\u2019ve had to serve the interest of missions.\u00a0 We logged more miles than we anticipated with well over five-hundred-fifty meetings across 326 days of the last 12 months.\u00a0 It\u2019s encouraging to see young couples and families stepping out to serve as well as some folks pursuing second-career opportunities.<\/p>\n
The New Year will begin our 37th<\/sup> year affiliated with New Tribes Mission among which we have 33 year of active service.\u00a0 Those years have gone by quickly.\u00a0 Looking back, we\u2019ve served in missions in our twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, and now in our sixties.\u00a0 How can that be?!!<\/p>\n A few years ago when I was a teen (lol) a ministry was established to reach our\u00a0city for Christ.\u00a0 Every block, every home was visited and the gospel was shared with those who would listen.\u00a0 You could say then<\/em> that the city was reached.\u00a0 But the demographics have changed so much that the city is now much the same as before it was reached.<\/p>\n There are believers here but with an influx of ethnicities and new religions popping\u00a0up there is much work for the church to do.\u00a0 I\u2019m glad there are witnesses of the gospel\u00a0o proclaim Christ here, though few share their faith these days.\u00a0 It seems we\u2019ve slipped\u00a0back to the mentality of \u2018bringing them into our churches\u2019 rather than going out to make\u00a0disciples.\u00a0 Little wonder it is so difficult getting Christians to join rank in going to the\u00a0nations of the world where Christ has never been proclaimed.<\/p>\n As we embark upon another New Year we are asking the Lord God to open new doors of opportunity in churches and on campuses.\u00a0 \u2026And, that within those doors we will find individuals who God is motivating to serve. The good news is that there are <\/em><\/strong>believers here sharing Christ, not many, but there are\u00a0some.\u00a0 \u2026And there are some churches purposed to train up within their ranks those\u00a0with vision to go to the unreached nations of the world and declare Christ.\u00a0 That\u2019s\u00a0where we come in to assist local churches with mission\u2019s vision and helping to equip those they can send.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2016\/12\/Def2-300x136.jpg\")
