Have you ever thought about what possesses people to walk away\nfrom perfectly good careers with great salaries and good benefits; away from a\nsubstantial retirement portfolio; away from nice homes or away from a dream\nvacation to pursue reaching out to people who remain unengaged with the\ngospel?  \u2026Or as Jesus said in Matthew 19,\n\u201cleaving houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children.\u201d  That\u2019s putting it all on the line.  Most people nowadays would say you got to be\na little touched in the head to do something like that.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But didn\u2019t Jesus\nalso say that those who leave such things for His Name\u2019s sake will <\/p>\n\n\n\n

receive a hundred\ntimes as much in return, and will inherit eternal life?  Well, we <\/p>\n\n\n\n

already embraced\neternity so the motivation to take others with us was an inviting <\/p>\n\n\n\n

challenge we felt\nworth the cost of \u2018going.\u2019  \u2026But receiving\none hundred fold?  I don\u2019t <\/p>\n\n\n\n

think we ever\nthought about that.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now let me put your\nmind at ease.  Although we walked away\nfrom careers and gave <\/p>\n\n\n\n

up our material\ngoods to reach people for Jesus, I can\u2019t say we have received one <\/p>\n\n\n\n

hundred times or\neven twice what we had before we began this journey in missions.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026But I CAN tell you we\nare blessed and that it\u2019s been a journey worth walking; a <\/p>\n\n\n\n

journey of faith and\ntrust in telling lost people about the empty tomb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re not alone\u2026 there are plenty others a little touched in the\nhead who have made it their ambition to invest their lives for God\u2019s glory in\nshowing the way to Christ among some of the world\u2019s most isolated people\ngroups.  They come from all walks of\nlife: investors, lawyers, school teachers, CEO\u2019s, pastors, pilots,  farmers, ditch diggers, musicians, doctors,\ndentists\u2026 and a whole lot of business people and common laborers.  People who see the value of a lost soul, and\npeople who want to follow Jesus no matter where it takes them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We once lived among former headhunters and now WE are the\nheadhunters, looking for those who will consider their worldly goods no more\nthe value of rubble, and seeing the treasure of lost people worth the cost of\nJesus\u2019 sacrifice on the cross.  It is to\nthis end we spend our days reaching out as missions mobilizers among young\npeople, among families and individuals who will step to the plate and allow God\nto touch their hearts<\/strong> with the\nchallenge to make disciples among the \u2018ethnos\u2019 of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bottom line is\nWE NEED LABORERS!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who can you commend to us that we might challenge?  \u2026And who are you praying for, now, that God\nmight touch their hearts with compassion in going to those still waiting to\nhear the gospel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
