{"id":432,"date":"2021-06-18T15:17:19","date_gmt":"2021-06-18T19:17:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/?p=432"},"modified":"2021-06-18T15:17:20","modified_gmt":"2021-06-18T19:17:20","slug":"here-to-help-you-embrace-missions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/2021\/06\/18\/here-to-help-you-embrace-missions\/","title":{"rendered":"Here to Help YOU embrace missions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thirty seven years ago we were packing and preparing for our soon departure to serve in Papua New Guinea.\u00a0 Although we were adequately trained and equipped for this new venture in life <em>&#8211;an investment of nearly four years,<\/em> we felt some apprehensions amid the excitement of taking the gospel to an unreached people group.\u00a0 Who of us would say we ever felt specifically cut out or qualified for the career paths we\u2019ve taken in life?\u00a0 While we may prepare ourselves with the necessary education to pursue a particular job, there is usually some hesitancy or inadequacy felt the first day on the job.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"194\" height=\"183\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-2.png 194w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-2-117x110.png 117w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Up until this point in our lives we had never been on an airplane.\u00a0 After saying our goodbyes to family &amp; friends we departed for New Guinea.\u00a0 It is still a place defined as \u201cthe land of the unexpected.\u201d\u00a0 Following orientation we settled in a tribe.\u00a0 It was reassuring how comfortable we felt among the people.\u00a0 We then realized just how God had prepared us for such a time as this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"229\" height=\"219\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-7.png 229w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-7-115x110.png 115w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 229px) 100vw, 229px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years we\u2019ve met many people who said to us \u201cWe could never do what you are doing.\u201d\u00a0 \u2026And they are right; they couldn\u2019t!\u00a0 <strong><em>\u2026Or could they???<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 We still hear that today as we continue challenging believers with the task of making disciples among the nations.\u00a0 The job is doable; we just need people who will put feet to their willingness and join the global team declaring Jesus in hard to reach places of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"253\" height=\"146\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-437\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-6.png 253w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-6-125x72.png 125w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-6-250x144.png 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 253px) 100vw, 253px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But it takes equipping.\u00a0 We know there are individuals sitting in churches all across America who may be feeling God nudging their heart to serve, and yet they are apprehensive.\u00a0 We know the feeling!\u00a0 But as someone once told us \u201cYou can\u2019t steer a parked car.\u201d\u00a0 \u2026And so we set the vehicle in motion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"281\" height=\"173\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-436\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-5.png 281w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-5-125x77.png 125w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-hilt\/files\/2021\/06\/image-5-250x154.png 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 281px) 100vw, 281px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While we realize everyone may not be a church planter or Bible teacher in a foreign context, each one of us has been entrusted the gospel for sake of impacting another.&nbsp; That might be in your community <em>\u2013your Jerusalem<\/em>; it might be in a nearby town <em>\u2013your Judea<\/em>; it might be in a prison <em>\u2013your Samaria<\/em>; or it might be reaching one of the least-reached people groups of the world in need of the gospel \u2013<em>what we call the uttermost part of the world.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re here to help you explore that journey and to point you in the direction of specific training so you, too, can experience a fulfilling and impacting ministry.&nbsp;
