October 1992 Housebuilding in the Village

October 8, 1992 by David and Shari Ogg

Building A Home In The Jungle!?!

Why?…To be ambassadors to the Simbari people, To learn their language, To teach and translate God’s Word, To be servants.

David and Shari Ogg
Simbari Tribe
Papua New Guinea
Framing the house with bush poles
Installing a wall made of woven cane
David making our rain water holding tank
Shari is very happy with her new kitchen

We praise the Lord for the strength He gave during all the hardships of building; for safety; and for our nearly completed house.

We also thank the Lord for the 1992 Simbari SUMMIT team. They were a great blessing to our team in building our co-workers’ house.

Please pray for:

  • Finances to cover building costs.
  • Quick completion of an outside office building.
  • A new computer for language and culture study.
  • Members of SUMMIT team to continue to walk with God and be used of Him.
  • Shari’s sister, Joleen on chemotherapy for leukemia.
