As you can see from these pictures even when Esther was most impaired by the encephalitis she never lost her smile. These pictures were taken when Dr. Kevin Ludwig, our NTM-PNG doctor, flew out to our place and diagnosed the encephalitis. We thank you with all our hearts for praying for her and we are very happy to say that she is 100% recovered. Last month she was tested again by Dr. Ludwig and also by a speech therapist and physical therapist. All who have seen her agree that she shows no signs of any permanent damage. He is Faithful and True and we give Him glory. God has promised, “I will be with you always”, that’s part of what makes the Great Commission so great!
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matt 28:19,20
His presence has been especially real to us during these last months while our co-workers Dennis and Jeanne Best are on home assignment (until July 95). We live in an isolated place and it does get lonely at times but we continue to find strength and encouragement daily in Him. He is a loving Father who is always doing special things for His children. Today is a perfect example. We were plugging along as always when what we thought was a routine flight, had Shari’s dad on board for a surprise visit! We didn’t expect to be able to see him for another 2 weeks. What a wonderful surprise. He Only stayed for a few hours but it was a real encouragement right when we needed it. To the left is our airstrip and in the upper center you will see our houses. If you’re ever in the neighborhood please drop in. Thank you for your support and prayer.
Love,
David & Shari Ogg
