We just got back from a trip to the remote Wantakia tribe to help a new missionary church planting team there get started in their CLA (Culture and Language Aquisition). It is exciting that three new families have moved in to this tribe in order to bring the Word of God to these remote people in their own language. Here is a link to a video about the team: https://youtu.be/dUi21_3qFWU

Many years ago consultants helped us during our CLA and now it’s a joy to help others in the same way we were helped. Because of the remote location of this people group we needed to travel by helicopter to reach the village where the missionaries live. We spent almost a week with the team and there is a real excitement in the air. The Wantakia people have been waiting for missionaries for many years. And God has brought together a great team of missionaries to work with them. The missionaries have wasted no time getting right into the important task of learning the culture and language. Becoming proficient in culture and language are key to being able to communicate the Truths of God’s Word clearly.

We got stuck an extra day because of bad weather but David was able to start the draft of the Gospel of John while waiting for the helicopter!
