20151017-IMG_4924-3During our recent trip to the village it was great to see the church functioning well on their own. They have elders and deacons functioning and even the kids are participating! IMG_4873They were taking up offerings that included food items like greens, sweet potato and squash as well as some coins so that they can be a blessing to the widows and meet other needs in the church body. One of the teachers, Raymond, has gone down to teach the Simbari church in the capital city of Port Moresby. IMG_4870The believers down there paid for him to come teach them because of their hunger for the Word of God. David finished the preliminary exegetical draft of John and three more books: Philippians, 2 Timothy and Philemon. He is now halfway through the draft of Hebrews. That puts the preliminary drafting of the New Testament at 91% complete! Please keep praying for wisdom in translation!
