Pray for Bible teaching in Simbari

February 24, 2018 by David and Shari Ogg

We have exciting news to share about two Creation to Christ Bible classes and one literacy class that just began yesterday. The Simbari church is doing this as a ministry to the community. There are 20 adults in one study, 12 at another and 20 in literacy, and even more kids. They are meeting in different places around the village for the daily teaching. Pray for regular attendance and for God to open hearts and minds to the truths of the Bible. Some from the church had trusted in Christ when we were later in the foundational teaching curriculum and so are really looking forward to hearing the whole story from the beginning along with the new folks. The Simbari church in Port Moresby is currently teaching in 1 Corinthians. Raymond and David are currently working through another revision of 4800 verses of the New Testament and Shari is back-translating the book of Luke. It is very tedious at times but an amazing privilege.
