Christmas Good News

December 20, 2018 by David and Shari Ogg

Thankful for Partners & Progress

As this year comes to a close we want to let you know how thankful we are for your faithful partnership in the Simbari ministry! With your prayers and support we have been able to nearly complete the translation of the Simbari New Testament. It’s so encouraging to see God building His church here in PNG among many formerly unreached people groups. And among the Simbari too it has been encouraging to see the church continue to walk in the light of God’s Word and to reach out to people who don’t yet know Christ.

Christmas Good News

For many months Bible teachers from the Simbari church have been teaching through the Creation-to-Christ foundational Bible lessons in a nearby village. They have been meeting in their homes at night and there has been a good response so far. In the last month or so they have heard about the birth of Christ and His life and ministry. Next week they will hear of his death, burial and resurrection. Please pray that they will clearly understand the Good News and receive the wonderful gift of grace that God offers us through His Son.

Wishing you all a very joyful Christmas as we celebrate the coming of our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ!
