Jason graduates – Class of 2019
The youngest of our 4 children graduated from Numonohi Christian Academy on May 23rd. We are so proud of him and are going to miss him as he moves away soon. From Jason: “I plan to attend Ethnos360 Bible Institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Thank you for all the encouragement, love and support you have shown me throughout my life. I would greatly appreciate your prayers as I seek the Lord’s will for the next chapter of my life! Hebrews 12:1 ‘Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely , and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.’” Just drop us a note if you would like his contact info. And if you would like to help him with Bible school fees here is the link: www.e360bible.org/student-payments/
Visit from Shari’s brother
It was a treat to have Shari’s brother, Dan “Dundee” Dolash, visit for a couple weeks and attend Jason’s graduation. He also got to come with us for a visit to our house in the village. He was very popular with the Simbari kids!
Traveling home (via New Zealand)
With our 2-year term at an end it was time for us to travel back for a 6-month home assignment. On the way through Port Moresby we were greeted by a large group of Simbari believers as we went from the domestic to international terminal. They repeatedly told us how much it meant to them for us to translate the Bible into their language.
On the way home we had a layover in New Zealand. After all the stress of translation checks and packing up our house in PNG it was a nice to have a little break in the cold weather and take in some of the beautiful sights of the North Island.
The Oggs are back in town!
It has been a blur of activity since we have been home. Buying a car, unpacking suitcases, restocking the house, getting Jason a driver permit, etc etc. For the next couple months we will be on the road a lot. After Jason returns from camp counseling at Hume Lake Christian Camp we will be heading up to Oregon to see our daughter Esther and her husband Tim. Then off towards Missouri for Rachel and Albion’s wedding. After that we will visit Shari’s family in Florida and then up to Wisconsin to drop Jason off at Bible school.
Please pray for safety on the roads as we put in a lot of miles!
