Mexico Mission Trip
We started off the new year by accepting an invitation from some friends to join them in building a small house for a needy family in Ensenada, Mexico. What a blessing it was to work alongside our friends and David’s two sisters, Ginger and Susie and get to know the family we were serving. Shari was able to put her Spanish to good use and have some nice visits with the wife and kids, and some of their friends, singing with her small guitar, and sharing the good news of Jesus with them. David also had a nice visit with one of their neighbors who was fluent in English and was able to share the hope of Christ with him as well. We were reminded that this trip was much more than just building a physical house. It was an opportunity to build relationships and plant seeds of the gospel. Please pray that those seeds would take root and grow. Here is a little video that Shari put together to give you a taste of what took place during our trip.
Leadership Workshop in PNG
Recently we received news that some of the believers from our Simbari church in PNG hiked over the mountains to join brothers and sisters from several other language groups to attend a leadership workshop. For three days they sat under the teaching of godly men who taught them from 2 Timothy 2:19-22 about being honorable vessels, set apart and useful for God’s work. This was a topic requested by some of the leaders last year, so we are thankful that they were able to be challenged in their walks with the Lord and able to take what they learned and share it with the rest of the Simbari church. Please pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen and encourage our brothers and sisters and give them courage and opportunities to spread the good news of Christ.

Bible Dedication Video in Spanish
We are excited that the Spanish version of the Simbari Bible dedication video “From Flicker to Flame” is almost complete. It will be used as a resource to helpĀ challenge our Spanish-speaking brothers and sisterĀ to get involved in taking the good news of Christ to unreached people groups in their own countries and beyond. We are thankful for the small team of people who helped us out with the subtitles and voice dubbing. We look forward to sharing it with you soon so you can share a link with your Spanish-speaking friends.
