Elderly people were crying and telling us that they would be dead before we return in a year. We tried to encourage them to trust Jesus and that they were in God’s care. The Simbari people have become a big part of our lives and it is not easy saying goodbye, even for just a year. We also witnessed an important tribal initiation before we left. We thank God for this opportunity because we learned a lot about where the Simbaris are in regards to their traditional beliefs. When we get back and finish language study these insights will help us to teach them the Word of God more effectively.

Home Assignment

We arrived in the U.S. in May after a free day in Hong Kong due to an airline mistake.
