As you know we are home now for Ogg baby #4 and his or her expected arrival is Jan. 20th<\/sup>. This time home has been a good opportunity to be able to catch up on some much needed dental work for the whole family. Including some orthodontic work for Simon. Esther also got her eyes re-examined and got new glasses. Shari will need dental work and eye exams too after the baby is born. For a while we had doctor, lab or dentist appointments practically every day that kept us pretty busy. Spending time with family during the holidays was a real treat too.<\/p>\n

The kids enjoyed rock-hopping and tidal pools on the California coast<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thank you for praying about our need for a vehicle; David\u2019s sister and her husband offered the use of their van during the time we are here. It is a very nice full-size Ford van and it has been a real blessing. We\u2019ve already taken it on a trip up the California coast visiting Hearst Castle and Monterey Bay Aquarium. 13 years ago Shari and I spent our honeymoon along the California coast, so it was neat to be able to show our kids the places we enjoyed as newlyweds. Afterwards we visited with friends in San Jose, \u00a0Sacramento, and Carson City. The kids even got to play in the snow a little up in Tahoe.<\/p>\n

The cool pool at Hearst Castle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

David has been wanting to work on formatting the Bible lessons but the laptop computer we have has not been working well since we have been here. It crashes all the time and the hard drive is too small and normal laptop hard-drives won\u2019t work in it. Since it is about 4 years old we decided to go ahead and get a new (refurbished) one. Once it arrives David will finally be able to work on the formatting.<\/p>\n

The house that we thought was available for us to stay in wasn\u2019t ready for us so we have been staying with David\u2019s parents since we have been here. It has saved us some money living with them and most of all it has been great to be able to see them more than if we lived somewhere else. But we still hope to be moving into our own place soon.<\/p>\n

Sledding at Tahoe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We are not sure when we will be able to move but it would be nice if it was before the baby arrives. A chest-flu bug has been going through the family and we hope it will all be done with before the baby arrives. We are also praying that Shari doesn\u2019t get it. Yesterday my fever when up to 102.5 before the Tylenol kicked in. I\u2019m feeling a little better today but still a little weak, so I\u2019m taking it easy.<\/p>\n

Some have asked us what the Simbari people are doing with us gone. There is no teaching going on but we have been praying that God will be preparing their hearts for when we return in March and start teaching soon afterwards.
