Last week saw my co-workers Joel and Jerry and me in Camdenton, Missouri, site of NTM’s missionary training center. It was a week of building relationships and profitable meetings with two of the teachers there. We worked through current and upcoming resources to equip the students to better represent their future ministries with NTM.
What a joy it was there to interview a young family who are training with NTM. They are from India and will return to minister in a different part of India. Their classes with NTM in worldview have transformed their ministry mindset.
Speaking of the people he had previously ministered to, Jonathan said, “Though we might come from the same background, we were carrying our bag of ideas. We were speaking English and most of the Bible teachers spoke English and read English books. So the Western thinking was in most of our preaching . . . and that baggage we were carrying up north trying to preach the Gospel.”
He told me that he wished all missionaries coming to India could have such a good understanding of worldview before starting their ministry. Ultimately, it was all about helping send the next generation of missionaries to the least reached places of the world. Thank YOU for partnering through praying and giving to God’s work of building His Church!
