Hector & Nicodemus

Last week Hector was so engaged during our Bible study that he continued to read ahead in the next lesson even after we finished. The next lesson was about Nicodemus & his question to Jesus concerning the meaning of being “born again.” Hector read the scripture from John 3 aloud to us & announced, "Nicodemus was a good man & yet he lacked one thing to go to Heaven. He had not put his trust in Jesus as Savior."

Imagine a canyon 6,000 feet deep at its deepest point. Imagine descending foot paths that snake from the rim past a rope bridge spanning a portion of the canyon to the bottom where small waterfalls feed pools hidden in the shadows of the steep canyon walls. Imagine Tarahumara Indians in their traditional dress still eeking out a living in such a rugged environment. These were the very images that met our Puppet Team when we travelled to La Sierra Tarahumara - the Tarahumara Mountains.
