General Fellowship of Churches

July 30, 2010 by David and Teresa Searcy

We just completed a 3 day general fellowship of GFA churches in our area.  There were probably about 100 people sleeping wall to wall in a couple houses on the complex here.  I had up to 16 expats one night at my house.  With those coming from the town and the close villages, we probably had over 200 at most of the meetings.  Those on the complex ate their meals together hosteGeneral Fellowshipd by the local church.  The Taman in this village have been working hard to get their new church building finished for this. It’s not quite done yet but was usable.  They weren’t quite as prepared for feeding so many guests but they pulled it off.  Since it was rice 3 times a day, I fed my household breakfast here.  Please be praying for these small churches.  Particularly this tribe faces a lot of persecution and ridicule because they are a minority  faith in a very close community who major on sameness – not being different.
