Loved Worshiper

December 6, 2020 by David and Robin Watters

Ps 108:4 Your steadfast love is great above the heavens, your faithfulness reaches to the skies

Micah 7:18 He delights in showing steadfast love, not punishing sin nor staying angry

In Ephesians 3:17-19 Paul prays for the Ephesians that God would give them divine power so that they would be able to comprehend to love of God. I think David had a pretty good handle on God’s love, and it permeated everything He did. To David, God’s love was great, above the heavens. Ephesians 5:1 commands us to walk in love as Christ did.

1 John 1:7-10 commands us to walk in the light. But, John also points out that it’s only sinners who choose to walk in light. Those who think they are without sin are walking in darkens. But, it’s those who agree with God, confess their sins, and enjoy fellowship with Him, that are walking on the light.

What an incredible God we serve. His love covers our sin. He put our sins away from us as far as east is from the west (Ps 103:12) Micah 7:19 says He casts all our sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:18 said He delights to show steadfast love more than retaining his anger toward us.

David’s response in Ps 108:5 should be ours when we really think about His love and faithfulness to us. “Be exalted O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth.
