Dear |FNAME|
It is now Facebook official, so I can share it with you. Noah and Hannah are expecting! This has been a big year for our family. Our last child at Bible School, our first grand child on the way, our second married… and now they are expecting!
Well, before I get too carried away, let me share a few prayer requests for this week.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for both the girls now, (Emily and Hannah). Because they live so close to each other, it will be nice that they can help each other. But, lots of changes for both couples. Emily is due January 30. Hannah will be due in July.
- Pray for our plans to return to PNG. We still plan for mid February. This news makes our summer plans a little interesting. Pray for wisdom as we wait on the Lord for that.
- Pray that we can be more active witness to bring hope of Christ to this crazy world. As Robin and are now working, pray that we can be a witness to unsaved people that God brings across our paths. See the news column for more details.
- Pray for our upcoming traveling. January is going to a busy month.
News
This afternoon we attended the memorial service of a long time supporter of ours. He was saved later in life. But as he got to know the Lord, he became a vibrant witness for Christ. He even wrote a couple tracts. He was always sharing about people he had witnessed to. He often went down town and worked with the rescue mission, witnessing to the homeless on the streets.
As I listened to the testimony and celebration of his life, I was really challenged. For Chuck, Phil 1:21 was real. For him, living was Christ. He talked about the Lord with many. He constantly looked forward to heaven, where he would be with his Lord and Savior. Today he is! When he died, it truly was gain to him. I want to live more like Chuck.
God’s Word for Today
The past couple weeks, as I have written thoughts from my time with God, and used it in praying for those I write to and our coworkers in PNG, I have found I am really enjoying it. So, I am writing more often than just once a week. If I am able to continue, I will be posting the links to the articles that I have written each week in this section. I endeavor to keep this up, as the Lord enables me to.
If you are interested in receiving an email with the content of the articles I write, I would be glad to arrange that. Please just email me at david_watters@ntm.org and I will put you on the “God’s Word for Today” email list.
I trust these articles will encourage you. I will be praying they will. Here’s the links to the things I posted this week:
