Dear faithful partners in ministry,
Thank you for continuing to pray for us. Orientation for 4 new families is well underway. Our 4th and final family arrived on Monday. After a rough couple days trying to catch up on things, they are settling in well. This week was full of culture events and introductions to the program. I thought I would just show you some pictures of a few of the things we did this week with them.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for each of these families as they continue to settle in. Three of the four families have very small children. (5 children, all under the age of 2).
- This week they will start their official language and culture study. Pray for reliable helpers for each of them.
- Pray for me also, that I will be able to get away from office work to get out and learn some language too. I want to be able to experience what they experience so I can better relate, and better help them.
- Pray as we are out in the community that we will be a good testimony for Christ, and that our testimony will lead people to want to know more about what we are doing.
News
This week was a lot of fun. Tuesday and Thursday we took them out to local villages and introduced them to people. There were some really good contacts made that we are trusting the Lord to use to give them some good reliable language helpers.
We had them participate in several culture events, to get them started with how to process and use the events for language learning. Each of them was a lot of fun.
Once we finish with all the introduction classes and events, they will be on their own to participate and learn. That is when our role will move more into discipleship. Pray the Lord will help us to see the areas He wants to use us to help each of them to grow in.
As always, it’s a privilege to partner with you in reaching the people of PNG. It’s so exciting thinking about the potential of how God is going to use each of these families. Pray that nothing will hinder them from doing what God has brought them here to do. Thank you for your partnership. David and Robin
