{"id":1194,"date":"2022-01-30T13:42:50","date_gmt":"2022-01-30T03:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-watters\/?p=1194"},"modified":"2022-01-30T13:42:52","modified_gmt":"2022-01-30T03:42:52","slug":"even-evil-is-under-gods-control","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/david-watters\/2022\/01\/30\/even-evil-is-under-gods-control\/","title":{"rendered":"Even Evil is Under God&#8217;s Control"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bible Reading<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew 24<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Devotional Thoughts:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Reading Matthew 24 I can certainly see some parallels to what we see in today\u2019s world.\u00a0\u201cMany will give up their faith\u2026 they will betray one another and hate one another\u2026 such will be the spread of evil that many people\u2019s love will grow cold\u2026 \u201c (Matt 24:9-13)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you ever get tired of the evil around you?&nbsp;I certainly do.&nbsp;In the past couple weeks there has been increasing reports of crime here in our little town.&nbsp;It appears the authorities are not doing much about it.&nbsp;It is discouraging.&nbsp;I can understand what Matthew is talking about when he says, with such a great spread of evil, \u201cmany people\u2019s love will grow cold.\u201d&nbsp;People will give up hope in justice and goodness.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t give up, we are told in Heb 12:3.&nbsp;2 Cor 4:1 reminds us that because of the ministry we have is by the mercy of God, \u201cDo not lose heart!\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;Your labor is not in vain.&nbsp;(1 Cor 15:58)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even the spread of evil is under God\u2019s control.&nbsp;Look at what Jesus says in Matt 24:22-24.&nbsp;\u201cBut God has reduced the number of days; had he not done so, nobody would survive.
