Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bible Reading<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deut 10-11<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>John 12<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proverbs 9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus promised his disciples that if they will walk in the light then darkness will not overtake them.&nbsp;\u201cWhen you walk in the darkness, you cannot see where you are going.\u201d&nbsp;But when we turn a light on, the darkness is overcome and you can see.&nbsp;The light doesn\u2019t remove the obstacles in your path, it simply illuminates them so you can see them.&nbsp;You still have to choose to walk around them. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we make the choice to walk with Jesus and to live in the light of what we know is true, He assures us that darkness will not overtake us.&nbsp;The darkness of discouragement.&nbsp;The darkness of anxiety.&nbsp;The darkness of depression.&nbsp;When we walk in the light, Jesus promises the darkness will not overtake us. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is very similar to what David described in the Psalms as his \u201crefuge\u201d or \u201chigh tower of safety.\u201d&nbsp;Ps 18:1-3 \u201cThe Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I love what Moses encourages the people to do in Numbers 11:18-20, \u201cSo commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates\u2026\u201d. If we walked in the light in this way, by talking about the truth every chance we have, tying them to your head, wearing them around your neck, teaching them to your children, talking about them as you walk down the road, when you get up, when you go to bed\u2026etc.&nbsp;The darkness would not overtake you because the light would over power the darkness!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prov 9:10-11 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
