I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.

Ps 138:8 The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.

Thoughts

It’s been a couple days since I have written. I started a devo on Wednesday, but didn’t finish it. Sorry. Maybe I’ll try and finish it over the weekend and send it out.

This morning I am quite tired. I am starting to notice that if I am doing too much, it doesn’t take long for me to get run down. It’s probably my age… but my body is telling me I need margin. Doing both jobs (orientation and managing the center) I easily take on too much. So today I am feeling it. If you think of it, lift me up that the Father will help me maintain healthy margins so I can do well at what He is asking me to do.

This morning I was encouraged meditating on Ps 138:2. “Your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.” The Psalmist declares that the Father’s name is the guarantee that He will keep His promises. His name represents His character and everything we know is true about Him. All the history of His love and pursuit of His people (Ps 136:10-22). All the history of how He created the world and everything He did to make it the perfect place for us to live. (Psalm 136:4-9)

All His promises to us are backed by His name! And based on what we know is true, Ps 138:8 “The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.”

No matter how I feel about my present circumstances, the Father promises “HE will work out HIS plan for my life!”

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father. Thank you that you have a plan for my life. And like Jer 29:11 reminds us, it’s a good plan! It’s a plan that gives me hope for the future. Thank you that I can count on your plan because of all you have done and said through the years! Father help us to find rest in this truth that YOU will work out YOUR plan for our life! And may we learn to rest in the plans you have for us!

I pray for my readers too that they will daily be seeking you and finding in you the strength to face the day. I pray they will seek to find and follow YOUR plan. I pray you will give them a desire for what you want and you will excite them as they see you working through their lives!

Verses for the day Thoughts It’s been a couple days since I have written.
