Dear Friends
\nThings are starting to settle into a routine.\u00a0 We have 2 days of week where we have formal Tok Pisin classes.\u00a0 2 days a week we are out in the village participating in variuos activities in the every day life of PNGians.\u00a0 Which leaves 1 day a week for continuing to teach some discipleship topics.\u00a0 It’s been a lot of fun working with these new folks.<\/p>\n

This week we will start scheduling times to meet with each of them individually for one on one discipleship and coaching.\u00a0 We will be working with them to work through their personal growth plan.\u00a0 Pray these times together will be encouraging for each of them and productive for growth in their lives.<\/p>\n

Well, here’s a few more specific things you can be praying for this week.\u00a0 As always, thank you so much for lifting us up before the Lord.

Prayer Requests<\/h3>\n

  1. Pray for Robin and I as we begin meeting with folks individually.\u00a0 Pray we can be blessing and that they will experience significant growth.\u00a0 Pray for us specifically as we work with one of the families in particular.<\/li>\n
  2. Hannah begins her role as Resident Assistant at Ethnos Bible Institute this week.\u00a0 She will have half a dozen girls under her responsibility.\u00a0 Pray for wisdom as she seeks to disciple those the Lord has put under her.<\/li>\n
  3. On Monday teaching will resume for our workers here on Center.\u00a0 They will be teaching through the book of Romans.\u00a0 Pray that Aute will come faithfully.\u00a0 Pray also\u00a0that I will be able to followup with Aute after the teaching, and meet with him regularly.<\/li>\n
  4. Pray for Smith also, as he will attend the teaching because it will be part of our language class.\u00a0 I am pretty sure Smith is not a believer.\u00a0 As I work with him, and he attends the teacher, I would really like to see him get saved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    News<\/h3>\n

    We had a great time this week with the new folks.\u00a0 We were out to Smith’s house (the classroom teacher I am training) this week.\u00a0 It is a beautiful view from his village.\u00a0 It’s a good hour walk from here, but it’s well worth it.<\/p>\n

    On Friday, my plans to be out in the village fell through so we took the whole crew into a WWII museum here in town.\u00a0 It’s not much compared to the Smithsonian, but it’s quite good for PNG.\u00a0 The picture below is our overloaded car.\u00a0 I think we fit 25 people in 2 10 seater vehicles.\u00a0 After touring the museum, we went to our aviation hanger and had a tour there.\u00a0 Everyone enjoyed the morning.<\/p>\n

    This week on Wednesday we will be learning how to make baskets and bilums.\u00a0 Then on Friday, after learning all the vocabulary for the market, they will go to the big open market in town and have to buy some things.\u00a0 It’s going to be a fun week.<\/p>\n
